Our grounds encompass hundreds of acres of woodlands, meadows, old fields, fascinating geologic formations, a trout stream and the nation’s largest and best documented Eastern screech-owl population. Open year-round, our themed nature trails allow you to explore natural history and the area’s varied and glorious flora and fauna. Teachers wishing to expose their classes to nature’s wonders may schedule one of our School Programs or, for those unable to bring their class to us, may schedule one of our Moveable Museum programs where we bring our wildlife to you. Nature Center Building Hours: Jan. 2-March 8, 2009: Sat.-Sun. 10-5 Open weekends in January and February as a trail check-in point and rental center for cross country skis and snow shoes, our Nature Center building also houses hands-on exhibits and live critters. The building will also be open for special classes, camp programs, and by appointment the remainder of the year. |
