Our 600+ acre property is expansive, so wear your most comfortable walking shoes (fear not, you won’t need to tread all 600 acres). Benches and picnic tables are conveniently located throughout.
Dining
The Depot Restaurant
Sit-down and carry-out service. Sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, desserts and beverages, including beer and wine.
The Victorian Garden Pavilion
Salads, sandwiches and entrees plus ice cream cones and soft drinks at the Garden Pavilion window.
The Freight House
Open on special event weekends for beer, wine and soda. Check at admissions for an operating schedule.
Hosmer’s Inn
Some historic tasting experiences on select occasions.
Thomson’s Tavern
Snacks and beverages.
The Whistle Stop
Picnic tables and vending near the Great Meadow.
Gift Shop
Assorted packaged snacks, homemade fudge and cookies.
Silver Base Ball Park
Peanuts, birch beer and other appropriate period snacks sold during games.
Picnicking
Guests are welcome to bring in food to be enjoyed on premises, but please, no coolers are allowed further than the picnic tables at the Toll House. We regret that bottles, cans, grills and alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto any portion of the property..
Facility Rentals
Our 19th-century village can be home to your wedding or upcoming business or group meeting. Group catering and facility rentals are also available for groups as small as 10 or as large as 500.
First Aid
First aid facilities are located at the Ward-Hovey House in the historic village.
Restrooms are available.
We hope you are not disappointed that these are 21st-century flush facilities rather than authentic 19th-century outhouses. Facilities are augmented by portable toilets during popular event weekends.
