The focus of the day will be showing the public how military technology has evolved since the time of the American Revolution.
View demonstrations of patriotic music, uniforms, equipment, and collectibles spanning our region’s 225+ year history.
On hand will be some of the area’s leading experts on military history and the involvement of western New Yorkers in America’s wars. Meet and interact with re-enactors of the French & Indian War, the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, and World War II. The New York Guard, a state volunteer militia that supplements the Army National Guard, will also be available to speak with visitors. Dennis P. Bielewicz, author of
Heroes in the Attic:
The Untold Story of Two Civil War Soldiers, will be on site to speak about his research and findings (12:30 P.M.) as well as sign copies of his book in the afternoon from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
