Each night includes a live owl presentation on owls' behavior, habitat and lifestyle plus moonlit guided walks through the wintry woods to listen for screech owls and great-horned owls. There maybe even a “talk” with them. Guided walks are booked every 20 minutes starting at 6pm with the last tour leaving at 8:20pm.
Throughout the evening and while awaiting for your tour, visit with real owls and get up-close-and-personal with them at an owl meet and greet hosted by Wild Wings, Inc. of Honeoye Falls, NY in the Meeting Center adjacent to the Nature Center. The owls and their keepers will be available from 6pm to 8pm each evening. During this more formal presentation, tour goers can approach the Wild Wing educators and not only learn about the animals but also be able to ask questions on a one-to-one level.
Later there’ll be roasting marshmallows around a campfire under the moonlit night sky and a reading of Jane Yolen’s beautiful nature story, the Caldecott Medal-winning Owl Moon.
