The museum is pleased to host its second National Silver Ball Tournament, featuring vintage base ball games over three days. Games will be played at the museum’s Silver Base Ball Park — the only replica 1800s base ball park in the nation.

The Teams

The tournament will feature the museum’s own four teams and eight others from across the U.S. Teams scheduled to appear:

The Schedule

Friday. July 30

2:15 p.m. — Game play begins at Silver Base Ball Park and two other museum ball fields.

5:45 p.m. — Game play ends for the day.

6:30 p.m. National Silver Ball Banquet: Held on the grounds at Genesee Country Village & Museum, this event will feature a chicken dinner, awards and speakers from the world of baseball. Reservations required. Call (585) 538-6822.

Saturday. July 31

9 a.m. — Game play begins at Silver Base Ball Park and two other museum ball fields.

5:45 p.m. — Game play ends for the day.

6 p.m. — Friday Night at Frontier Field, Rochester’s AAA baseball stadium prior to and during the Rochester Red Wings’ game vs. the. Syracuse SkyChiefs. Includes all-you-can-eat picnic supper, game tickets, and the chance to meet and mingle with the vintage base ball teams. Spectacular fireworks will follow the game. Reservations required. Sunday. Aug. 1

10 a.m. — Game play begins at Silver Base Ball Park and two other museum ball fields.

1 p.m. — Grand parade will be held through the historic village, ending at Silver Base
Ball Park

1:30 p.m. — First Pitch, Championship Game

3:30 p.m. —(approx.) Silver Ball Trophy Ceremony

Game Tickets: Includes any one-day admission to all museum activities (incl. historic village, art gallery, nature center) and Genesee Valley Park $12.95; $9.95/Ages 62+, students w. ID; $7.50/Ages 4-17; free to children 3 and under.

National Silver Ball Banquet: Includes chicken dinner, baseball speakers
$19; $9.50/Ages 4-10; free for 3 and under.
