Summer Camp

July 6 – August 21, 2026

Make summer memories that last a lifetime! An amazing experience at the perfect time! Give your child the gift of learning and fun across the wide-open spaces of the GCV&M Historic Village, Nature Center, and now the John L. Wehle Art Gallery. Campers can experience 19th-century fun and games, explore nature up close and get out on the trails, or create one-of-a-kind works of art.

Family Day Programs & Overnights

Take a peek at what we do during camp at GCV&M!  Join us for one program or sign up for several – whether your little one isn’t ready to attend camp alone or you’re looking for guided fun for the whole family, we are ready for you!

Become a Volunteer Camp Assistant!

Is your child too old for camp, but still looking for ways to stay engaged during school breaks? Great! We offer valuable youth leadership training in the form of a Volunteer Class Assistant Program for spring break and summer camps! Participants in this program will gain hands-on experience working within a nationally accredited living history museum. They will assist with camp activities under the mentorship of one of our experienced camp teachers. In order to qualify, applicants must be at least 15-years-old and have attended at least one week of camp or volunteered for 20 hours or more in the Historic Village or Nature Center.

Apply today by completing the youth application form.  If you have any questions, please email camp@gcv.org to reach our Camp Manager.

Camp Hard Hat

This week-long day camp (taught by BOCES Building Trades instructors) provides students ages 12-15 the opportunity to build a community project in a regional attraction. Campers will learn the principles of design and construction, project safety, and the power of teamwork which, along with the hands-on construction, may propel the campers into their future careers!
