Museum Shops

Genesee Country Village & Museum offers a variety of products related to the museum’s 19th-century American life mission. The shop presents books, home decor and the museum souvenirs, but the highlights of the offerings are the products made in the historic village. These include wood-fired redware and stoneware pottery — made on-premises by the museum’s master potter — as well as beautiful and utilitarian tinware made by the village’s tinsmiths, textiles by the village’s weavers, and baskets, ironware, brooms, furniture and handcrafts, all made by the village’s historic craft and tradespeople.

“We work with our very talented staff to present items that help our guests take a part of the village experience home with them,” says Diane Weisbeck, director of museum shops. “It’s always nice to be able to help people find a gift that will be beautiful and useful for generations to come.”
