Programs are filled on a first-come, first-reserved basis, so please make your reservations early.

All participants check-in at the Genesee Country Nature Center building to start their program.

This naturalist-led program includes an evening walk on the nature center’s trails to experience nature at night. Campfire program included. (Campfire snacks are the group leader’s responsibility). Maximum group size of 25 (scouts and adults).
Fee: $13/Scout, $6/adult (minimum fee $125)
Available: Select weekends in January, February, April, May, June, September, October and November (2.5-hour program)
Fee: $35/scout; $15/adult (minimum fee $500)

Civil War Encampment Overnight
Spend the night at the museum’s Civil War encampment. Participate in a military drill, enjoy a campfire and take an evening lantern lit walk through the historic village. Participants will sleep in Civil War era tents. Evening snack and a continental breakfast provided. We strongly encourage small groups to invite another group to share in your overnight experience to make it cost effective. Maximum group size of 40 (scouts and adults).
Fee: $40/Scout; $20/adult (minimum fee $550)

Learn about a young man's life in the 19th century through historic demonstrations by tradespeople and hands-on activities. The exploration may include: a demo at the blacksmith shop, a visit to the tin smith and learn more about his trade, talk with the cooper and see how important his role was in 19th-century life.
Fee: $15/ scouts, $7/adults (minimum fee $175) fee includes a tin ornament for each scout
Available: select weekends in May, June, September and October
Visit the pioneer farm to learn about what life was like for a child living on a farm in the early 19th century. Feed the chickens, collect the eggs and help with other chores. Create a craft that helps enhance the experience.

Visit the Genesee Country Village & Museum during our regular season (mid-May through mid-October) with your group of 20 or more Scouts (youth and adults) to receive a special group rate. A reservation must be made before the date of your visit with the museum’s Program Registrar. Please call (585)-294-8218 for more information or to make a reservation.
Fee: $7/scout, $11/adult (minimum of 20 participants)
Available: Mid-May through Mid-October
The fees listed for the aforementioned programs do not include admission to the historic village or art gallery. If you wish to spend time in the village before or after your paid scouting program we will be pleased to offer all participants in your group our Group Rate for Scouts. The price is $11/adults and $7/youth.
