A fall festival for the whole family
Join us for our annual Agricultural Fair at Genesee Country Village & Museum – back for its 49th year! Celebrate the bountiful Western NY harvest as the Museum shines in its finest fall colors! Enjoy livestock and cooking demonstrations, entertainment for the whole family, and browsing for unique finds at the market in the tradition of the country fairs of days gone by.

Blue Ribbon Showcase
A GCV&M tradition, exhibit your creativity, skill, and mastery in the Blue Ribbon Competition during the Agricultural Fair! Entries will be displayed throughout the festival after judging is complete on Saturday around 1p.m.
Categories include:
- Bake Goods (bread, cakes, pies, etc.)
- Pickles & Preserves (jam, jelly, sauces, honey, syrup, etc.)
- Dairy (butter and cheese)
- Beverages (beer, wine, cider, switchel, kombucha, shrub)
- Fiber Arts (knit, crochet, woven garments, etc.)
- Mechanical Arts (soap, coopering, woodwork, brooms, etc.)
- Artistic Endeavors (photo, drawing, painting)
- Horticultural Arts (bouquets, wreaths, potted plants, etc.)

Goats and Horses and Birds, oh my!
Explore the Rochester Poultry Association’s 117th annual show, featuring an impressive array of chickens, pheasants, ducks, geese, turkeys, and more. Visit the Genesee Country Dairy Goat Club, and meet Lollypop Farm’s Farm Yard Friends ambassador goats up close. On Village Square roll up your sleeves for hands-on milking demonstrations, and experience live sheep herding demos from Cherry Hill Training Center on the Great Meadow. Join the Equestrian Heritage Society and local equine owners for a stunning parade of horses as they showcase their majestic steeds throughout the Historic Village.
Music, Crafts, and more
T. Bohrer’s One & Only Punch & Judy Show brings traditional marionette entertainment to life with humor and flair the whole family will enjoy. Tap your toes to lively tunes performed by Old Erie, Heart Throbs String Band, and The Three Busketeers. Get creative with Seneca craftswoman Veronica Reitter during hands-on corn husk craft workshops. Discover the region’s rich traditions of folk art and fine craft through live demonstrations and interpretation by the Genesee Valley Woodcarvers, Genesee Country Lace Guild, and Rug Hookers of the Finger Lakes. Don’t miss historical apple pressing demonstrations, explore the fascinating history of grape research with experts from Cornell AgriTech—highlighting its lasting impact on today’s winemaking— and let the kids try an oxen obstacle course designed for young teamsters-in-training.

Catch the Mayor's Cup
Sunday, October 5
Don’t miss the LAST vintage base ball game of the season at GCV&M – the Mayor’s Cup! We offer the nation’s most comprehensive 19th-century base ball program, including games all summer and the National Silver Ball Tournament! Each season the Museum’s vintage base ball teams unpack their woolen uniforms, brown balls, and double-knobbed bats to play in Silver Base Ball Park, the first and finest replica 19th-century base ball park in the country.
Concessions will be open on Silver Ball Field from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
This game is included with the cost of admission to the Agricultural Fair on Sunday, October 5!

Parking is free and plentiful! Park in any of the main lots at the front of the Museum. Please leave the first two bays available for handicapped parking.
Please have your ticket(s) either printed out OR pulled up on your phone screen and ready for scanning for quick and easy check-in. Pro-tip: take a screenshot of each of your tickets to have ready and pulled up on your phone screen! Please note: Wifi can sometimes be spotty at the front of the Museum.
Yes! This event is rain or shine. The Museum will only cancel in case of a severe weather emergency.
Please dress accordingly for the predicted weather conditions.
We recommend wearing a good pair of walking shoes – there is a lot to see and do, and surfaces in the Historic Village (brick paths, cobblestone, grass), can be uneven.
Yes! Leashed service animals are welcome with proper identification.
