All Hallows’ Tea

Saturday, October 25 | 1 - 3 p.m.

"Restoring Resting Places"

Pick your poison on Saturday, October 25, from 1 – 3 p.m. at our Fall Tea set in our ghoulish Gallery! Get dressed to death for spooky season and savor the warm and cozy flavors of fall.

On Saturday, join us in welcoming Kate DeRaddo as she speaks about the often-overlooked world of cemetery preservation. Separate myths from best practices while highlighting the importance of ethical headstone care, and see how preserving cemeteries safeguards both history and the legacies of those laid to rest.

Kate DeRaddo is the creator behind A Grave Attraction, a digital presence sharing headstone cleaning, cemetery information, and forgotten stories through genealogical research. With a professional background in marketing, she combines storytelling and strategy to engage global audiences, bringing new life and awareness to historic cemeteries. A marketing professional by day, Kate is passionate about history, community connection, and ensuring that the past is preserved for future generations.

Before Tea, explore the haunting history of the American rural cemetery movement in an exhibit in the John L. Wehle Gallery and learn from our curatorial team about Victorian mourning.

Tickets to All Hallows’ Tea events include access to the Historic Village (open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. with a limited number of open historical homes and buildings), 5+ miles of Nature Trails, exhibits in the John L. Wehle Gallery, and shopping in the Flint Hill Store.
