Join us in the John L. Wehle Gallery for a fantastic behind-the-scenes vault tour followed by a scrumptious morning brunch. This exclusive event will give you guided access to our private vaults that most guests do not get to enjoy! View one of the finest collections of historic clothing and textiles in the United States and enjoy a delectable meal right in the GCV&M’s lovely Gallery lobby. The Bruce & Susan Greene costume collection features over 3,500 clothing items from men, women, and children that span across three centuries. This comprehensive collection–featuring outerwear, underwear, headwear, footwear, and accessories–helps document the changing fashions and tastes for men, women, and children. Purchase tickets today to avoid missing out on this truly exclusive experience.

What to expect:

This is an exclusive invitation to view GCV&M’s beautiful vault collection.

Please begin arriving around 10:45 to ensure that you are checked in by 11 a.m.

Vault tours will begin shortly after 11 a.m.

Guests will be split into two groups of 18. When one group is visiting the vault, the other group will be invited to peruse the John L. Wehle Gallery exhibits.

Coffee, mimosas, tea, breakfast pastries, and fruit kabobs are available to snack on in-between tours.

Brunch buffet will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m.

Your event ticket also grants you access to the Museum! You are welcome to visit the Historic Village, Nature Center, or Flint Hill Store after the event.

FAQs

Do I also need to purchase an admission ticket?

No! The cost of admission to the Historic Village and Nature Center are included in this ticket. Please note that the Historic Village, Nature Center, and John L. Wehle Gallery are open from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on this date. 

Is there ample parking?

Parking is free and plentiful! Park in any of the main lots at the front of the Museum. Please leave the first two bays available for handicapped parking. 

Where do I check in?

You will check in through the Flint Hill Gift Shop to receive your hang tag. Then, you will be directed to the John L. Wehle Art Gallery, where you will be checked in by name. 

How do I show my purchased tickets?

You will be checked in by name for this event. However, we recommend either printing out or taking a screenshot of your invoice or ticket(s) as backup. 

How does seating work?

There will be six (6) people sat at each table, maximum. 

If would like to be seated with someone but purchased tickets separately, please contact programregistrar@gcv.org with the names of all ticket purchasers. 

Is this event rain or shine?

Yes! The Museum will only cancel by order of Monroe County. 

If that does happen, we will be in touch with all purchasers via email and/or phone, and put messaging on all of our social media and web pages. 

How should I dress?

You will need to walk from Admissions to the Gallery and back; it is not a far walk, but dress for the predicted weather conditions and wear comfortable shoes for walking. If you plan to visit the Historic Village or Nature Center after, you will want to have the appropriate outerwear and footwear. 

What if I need a refund for my ticket?

We’re sorry to hear that you’re not able to attend! Tickets may be refunded only up to 7 days prior to the event date and are strictly non-transferable by date, entry time, or program.
