Brick Oven Day (Workshop)

Sunday, July 14 | 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Experience the 19th century!

Join guest food historian Jamie Burton in the Livingston Backus House from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, to learn what it takes to do a week’s-worth of baking… in just one day! In this class, you’ll learn the time-honored skill of baking in a wood-fired oven and try your hands at making (AND tasting, of course!) various baked dishes from the past.

Please wear long sleeves, pants, and close-toed shoes (natural fibers STRONGLY encouraged) and bring a bandana (or other light head covering) and a mug/water bottle.

Lunch and refreshments are provided.
