FAQs
Yes, you will be standing for the majority of this workshop. However, there will be chairs available if you do need to sit.
Yes! Park in any of the main lots at the front of the Museum. Please leave the first two bays available for handicap parking.
You can check-in through the Admissions tunnel and receive your hang tag. A member of the Interpretation staff will greet participants just outside of Admissions, then guide the entire group back to the workshop site.
We will be checking you in under the purchaser’s name for this workshop. However, we recommend either printing out OR taking a screenshot of your ticket(s) or invoice as backup.
Yes – this event is rain or shine! Please dress accordingly for the predicted weather conditions. We will cancel only in the case of thunderstorms or severe weather.
You may bring your own apron if you like, and something to transport your samples home in, but everything else will be provided to you to make this workshop successful.
The Historic Village, Nature Center, and Flint Hill Gift Shop will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.! The Depot Restaurant and Freight House Pub will both be open from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (hot grill items available until 3 p.m.).
Leashed service animals are welcome with proper identification.
Dress for the predicted weather conditions, and make sure to wear closed-toed shoes that you can walk and work in. You will be walking from Admissions to your workshop site and back.
Tickets may be refunded only up to 7 days prior to the event date and are strictly non-transferable by date, entry time, or program.
