A delectable menu
The historic menu is inspired by Abbey Fisher and Malinda Russell’s recipes, two prominent Black cookbook authors from the 19th-century. Russell, a free woman, ran a boarding house in Tennessee and was the first Black woman to publish a cookbook. Fisher grew up enslaved – she moved to San Francisco once free and started a restaurant highlighting pickled foods.
Please note: allergen information is available upon request. However, due to the historic nature of these dinners, we are unable to accommodate special dietary restrictions or requests.
