Explore the charming Historic Village

As you make your way around the Historic Village, enjoy roaming carolers, explore holiday-time traditions, warm hearths and warmer holiday greetings!
Stop by Altay Store to learn about Christmas toys, head to Thomson’s Tavern to play parlor games, and listen to a reading of “A Visit from St. Nick” in Mackay House at both 11am & 1pm.
Create your own morse code Christmas Card at the Telegraph Office, pose for a family photo at our selfie station at the Village Square Stage and Foster-Tufts House, and clap along with the Flint Hill Dancers as they demonstrate popular 19th c. dances in their Holiday best inside the Town Hall!
Plus, stop into the kitchen of Livingston-Backus House to watch our costumed interpreter cook traditional Chanukah dishes such as challah, latkes, and other sweet treats in a warm hearth.

Historic Treats

Warm up with a historic treat at the Hosmer Taproom! Sit around the fire with a warm Maple Cheshire Pork Handpie, and a cup of Hot Cocoa or Coffee as you take in the merry sounds of a bustling tavern.
Make sure you stop into the D.B. Munger & Co. Confectionery during your visit to pick up a festive Cranberry Orange Scone, Chocolate Handpie, and other Village made fan favorites!
