Hosmer’s Inn Dinners for the Fall

Join us for an exclusive historic dining experience at GCV&M!

Fall dinners in the historic Hosmer’s Inn (built in 1818) will take place on Friday, September 23, Saturday, September 24, Friday, October 7, Saturday, October 8, Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15. Enjoy an elegant four-course meal inspired by the meticulous garden and farm diaries Thomas Jefferson kept, as well as correspondence from household guests and those who served them. All dinners begin promptly at 6:00 p.m

Dine with family or friends, 19th-century style!

Meet engaging characters from the past, and enjoy an elegant four-course meal fit to appear at the table of President Thomas Jefferson and company. Learn about 19th-century dining customs, and explore Hosmer’s Inn upstairs and down. Between the final two courses of your meal, take in the sights and smells of the fall around the Historic Village as you enjoy a private, lantern-lit tour with one of our hostesses. You may find it hard to journey back to the 21st century! 

Each evening’s exclusive dining experience can accommodate up to a maximum of 15 people.

Savor historically accurate and beautifully prepared dishes by historic cooks at Genesee Country Village & Museum. From course to course, you will explore the history of 19th-century life through food. A deliciously unique experience you can only have at GCV&M!

All tickets are sold out for our fall Hosmer’s Inn Dinners! Check back for more information about upcoming Historic Dining opportunities!

All dinners are $85 per person ($80 for Museum Members) and begin promptly at 6 p.m.

All Historic Dining guests must be 16+

Pricing for Beer and Wine: Riesling – $26/bottle, Cab Franc – $28/bottle, Stocking Hill Ale – $24/growler, Fat Ox Ale – $24/growler. Please order all wine and ale in advance of your dinner by calling (585) 294-8218.

 

Important Information 

All dinners begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Historic Dining guests must be 16+. Wine and beer are available at the time of registration for an additional cost, and must be purchased in advance.

While we are sometimes able to make some minor alterations to the historical recipes, we are unable to accommodate special dietary requests at these dinners. Please communicate dietary restrictions and allergies directly to (585) 294-8218. Please feel free to reach out regarding any mobility concerns – this program includes an hour-long walking tour (rain or shine). Thank you!
