Opening Day of the 2025 High Season

Thursday, May 1 | 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Mark your calendars for the first day of our 2025 high season!

We can’t wait to welcome you back for regular daily visitation in 2025! Plan ahead to visit us next season and explore our 19th-century Historic Village, see new exhibits on view in the John L. Wehle Gallery, enjoy a bite to eat or historical craft beer in the Depot Restaurant and Freight House Pub, see our newly renovated Nature Center, hike our nature trails, shop the Flint Hill Store, and so much more.

Step into the 19th century

When you visit us this season, you’ll be able to chat with our knowledgeable costumed educators who keep the hearth fires burning, the heirloom gardens flourishing, and the livestock tended. You’ll hear the clanging of the blacksmith’s hammer, smell the aroma of fresh-baked treats, and truly experience life in the 19th century. Interpreters — including cooks and craftspeople — will be demonstrating their talents all day! Wander down to the farm to meet the animals, see what’s cooking at the Early Settlement Farm, and so much more.

Visit the John L. Wehle Gallery

Make sure to visit the John L. Wehle Gallery when you visit on opening day to explore our newest exhibit, “Everybody’s Going to be There: The American Rural Cemetery movement!” Plus, enjoy “Becoming Gendered: Garment as Gender Artifact” and “Perceived Realities: Wildlife, Land, and Myth.”

Shop the Flint Hill Store
