Quilts were a staple in the 19th century to stay warm
In this workshop learn about the various stitches and patterns that 19th century quilters used to create works of textile art. Participants will go home with a partially completed project, a hoop, needle, thread, and a guide covering all the stitches learned in class.
Recommended for ages 18+. All participants must purchase a ticket.

Yes! Park in any of the main lots at the front of the Museum (please leave the first two bays open for handicap parking).
You will first check in through Admissions to receive your hang tag. Then, a member of the Interpretation staff will greet the group on the backside of Admissions and guide everybody back to the workshop site.
You will be walking from Admissions to the workshop site and back. If you need assistance getting to and from the workshop site, please notify our staff, and the Security team will transport you in their vehicle.
We will be checking you in by name. However, we recommend either printing out OR taking a screenshot of your invoice or ticket(s) as backup.
Yes! The Museum will only cancel in the case of a severe weather emergency.

The Historic Village, Nature Center, John L. Wehle Gallery, and Flint Hill Gift Shop will all be open to the public from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m..
Grab a bite and a cold drink at the Depot Restaurant between 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (grill closes at 3).
Leashed service animals are welcome with proper identification.
Please wear close-toed shoes.
While this class will be held indoors, you will be walking from Admissions to the workshop site and back. Dress for the predicted weather conditions, and wear appropriate footwear.
