Spring Arranging & Planning Ahead Workshop

Saturday, May 10 | 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Join one of our expert gardeners for an enchanting exploration of our heirloom gardens!

Participants will learn how to condition and arrange early spring florals and greenery, create a small bouquet of fresh materials, create a fragrant handheld “tussy mussy”, and learn about everlasting flowers that you can plant and use throughout the season. Participants will also create a small grapevine and everlasting flower wreath. Take home a fresh breath of early spring!

Tickets for this workshop must be purchased online in advance before Friday May 9, 2025. 

Museum Members: $70

FAQs

Is there ample parking?

Yes! Park in any of the parking bays at the front of the Museum. The first two bays are for handicap parking only. 

Where do I check in?

You will first check in through the Admissions tunnel to receive your hang tag. 

An Interpretation staff member will greet all workshop participants outside of Admission and walk the entire group back to the workshop site. 

How do I show my purchased tickets?

We will be checking you in by name for this workshop. However, we recommend also either printing out OR taking a screenshot of your ticket(s) or invoice as backup. 

is this event rain or shine?

Yes – this event is rain or shine! Please dress accordingly for the predicted weather conditions. We will cancel only in the case of thunderstorms or severe weather.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

You may bring a pair of gardening gloves with you if you like, but everything else will be provided to you in order to make this class successful. 

What else will be open?

The purchase of this ticket includes access to the Museum for the day! The Historic Village, Nature Center, Gallery, and Flint Hill Gift Shop will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

The Depot Restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (grill closes at 3) for you to grab lunch. 

Can I bring my dog?

Leashed service animals are welcome with proper identification. 

How should I dress?

You will be walking from Admissions to the workshop site and back. Wear closed-toed shoes and dress appropriately for the predicted weather conditions. 

What if I need a refund for my ticket?

Tickets may be refunded only up to 7 days prior to the event date and are strictly non-transferable by date, entry time, or program. 

Does this workshop require a lot of standing?

Yes, you will be standing for the majority of this workshop.
