Unravel a new skill!
Experience the beauty of plants by using them to create colorful, vibrant dyes! Participants will learn the basics of dyeing (including some chemistry), get to use three different natural dyes, and will get to dye a skein of yarn to take home with them.

FAQs
Yes! Park in any of the main lots at the front of the Museum. Please leave the first two bays available for handicap parking.
You can check in inside the Meeting Center Lounge (go through the white double doors to the immediate right of Admissions). Your instructor will meet the group there and escort you back to the workshop location.
Please have your ticket(s) either printed out OR pulled up on your phone screen and ready for scanning for quick and easy check-in. Pro-tip: take a screenshot of each of your tickets to have ready and pulled up on your phone screen! Please note: Wifi can sometimes be spotty at the front of the Museum.
Yes – this event is rain or shine! Please dress accordingly for the predicted weather conditions. We will cancel only in the case of thunderstorms or severe weather.
No! Everything will be provided to you to make this class successful.
The Historic Village, Nature Center, Flint Hill Gift Shop, Depot Restaurant, and Freight House Pub will all be closed to visitors.
Leashed service animals are welcome with proper identification.
Dress for the predicted weather conditions. You’re going to be working with dyes – wear clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting dirty or stained.
You will be walking from Admissions to the workshop site and back; make sure to wear footwear appropriate for uneven, gravel pathways and for working in.
The majority of this workshop will be held outdoors at Kieffer House.
Tickets may be refunded only up to 7 days prior to the event date and are strictly non-transferable by date, entry time, or program.
