Join instructor Peggy Roll to learn how to prepare a homemade potato yeast using a 19th-century receipt. The class will use the yeast to make several different breads and rolls. Recipes will include the infamous Dyspepsia bread from 1833 that is "good for what ails you," and a sweet currant bread. Participants will enjoy a vegetable soup for lunch and take home some potato yeast along with samples of each of the breads at the end of the day. Ages 16 to adult.
