DESCRIPTION:We’ll be open until 7 p.m.! This will be the last in our series of extended evening hours this season. A dozen buildings in the Historic Village will be open\, along with the Flint Hill Store\, John L. Wehle Gallery\, and the Genesee Country Nature Center and trails. Learn from costumed interpreters and tour spaces and buildings representing home\, civic\, social\, economic\, farm\, and religious life throughout the 1800s. \nGUIDED TOURS (separate ticket required)\n7 p.m. | Vines and Virtues\nUncover the history of religious wine production in the Finger Lakes.\nVisit the Event Page for Tickets \nGUIDED TOURS (included with Admission)\n5 p.m. | Gardening Through the 19th Century\nMEET AT THE VILLAGE SQUARE STAGE\nJoin an expert gardener on a tour of the Museum’s historic gardens. Catered to the group’s interest\, you will journey into the 19th Century through the perspective of plants. \nTIMED ACTIVITIES\nStarting at 3 p.m. | Admissions Booth\n$5 admission \nStarting at 5:30 p.m. | Baby Shower\nCelebrate our new oxen with a slice of cake! \n6 p.m. | The Seneca of Canawaugus\nJOHN L. WEHLE GALLERY\nJoin Livingston County Historian Holly Watson and explore what life was like at the Seneca village\, historical events and figures of Canawaugus\, and the continuing importance of the area to the Seneca Nation. \n19TH-CENTURY HISTORIC VILLAGE \nExplore\, see\, and experience our Historic Village. We invite you to tour spaces and buildings representing home\, civic\, social\, economic\, farm\, and religious life throughout the 1800s. \nBe sure to visit Nathaniel Rochester House (#12)\, open every day\, to delve into the real and often untold history of enslavement and freedom in the Genesee Country. \nStop by Thomson’s Tavern to try historic games (stilts\, graces\, hoop and stick\, etc.) on the front lawn. \nHISTORIC TRADESHOPS \nVisit and talk with our trades folks who both practice and preserve timeless skills. \nAGRICULTURE & GARDENS \nA variety of heritage animal breeds can be found throughout the Village at the Hetchler House & Early Settlement Farm (#6)\, the Livery Barn (#11)\, and Jones Farm (#14). \nMake sure to explore historic gardens throughout the Village\, flourishing with both food and flowers! Animals and plants are for viewing only – please don’t feed\, trample\, touch\, or pick. \nJOHN L. WEHLE GALLERY \nHome to one of the finest collections of sporting and wildlife art in America\, and the dazzling Bruce & Susan Greene Costume Collection! \nDon’t miss the three featured exhibits currently on display. \n\nAn Extraordinary Attraction: 50 Years of History\, Art\, & Nature\nColor Me Calico\nPerceived Realities: Wildlife\, Land\, & Myth.\n\nGENESEE COUNTRY NATURE CENTER \nVisit with a naturalist and explore a variety of habitats on six trails ranging from .3 to 1.6 miles.
