Scene of tea time in a nice home. First, brown frock coat with very large sleeves over a
matching waistcoat and pants, light blue with checked bands up the trousers side seam,
and edging the waistcoat. Man seated in red armchair wears blue-black coat with black
trousers, white waistcoat. Lady behind tea table clad in inconspicuous pale blue basque
dress with bell sleeves, white lingerie. Man in back shows back of what might be a paletot
with gored or pleated back. Behind him, a liveried servant, insignificant. Next a man in a
neat black topcoa over light blue twill trousers, next to one in a more fitted brown coat with
tan trousers. All very neat and trim and well mannered. The first boy wears a maroon suit of a paletot with bell sleeves and trousers tucked into spatterdashes. Black bands trim the paletot; yellow gloves. The older one wears a similar coat in tan with a white pointed collar and blue trousers. The next wearss a green frock coat with black band trim and red loose neck tie, tan trousers. His younger brother wears a fancy tan coat with military-style turned-back revers over a white waistcoat, gray checked trousers.
