Fall Foraging (sold out)

Saturday, September 24 | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 

Join Master Naturalist Chris Kieber and Herbalist Dave Kieber as they forage for seasonal offerings of wild edibles and discuss the folklore of medicinal plants found at GCV&M.  Participants will learn to recognize, harvest, and prepare a variety of available plants.  During the class participants will examine an extensive variety of fire making methods and have hands-on experiences in creating their own fire.  Please dress appropriately for the weather.  Bring a lunch, it will be supplemented with food that you forage and cook over the fire! (Meal you will create is not vegetarian, and cannot accommodate specific dietary restrictions.) Space is limited, ages 16 – adult.
