History in the Kitchen

We bring the museum to you! Discover how food, receipts (recipes), cooking techniques, and the kitchen itself changed in the 19th century from a one room log house to the turn of the century “modern kitchen.” A Museum cook will bring some of these changes to you with examples of cookware, utensils, and cookbooks to illustrate this most “tasteful” approach to learning about the past. Preschool-Grade 3
