Maple Madness

Program offered: Thursday, March 23, and Friday, March 24, 2023 |  10:00AM – 2:00PM

Join us for this seasonal favorite, and sweet exploration into the history of maple sugaring!

This program is appropriate for Grades 4 – 12.

Give your emerging and advanced students an immersive learning experience that brings to life history, chemistry, math, ecology, and more! Reverse osmosis? Sap to syrup ratios? The importance of maple sugar for the economy of anti-slavery protest? No other field trip has all this in store for your middle and high school students. This self-guided field trip features the Nature Center and select indoor and outdoor locations in the Historic Village. Plan for about two to four hours on site.
