Wreath Making Workshop

Prepare for the holiday season!

Saturday, December 14 | 12 - 2 p.m.

Join us for a seasonal favorite – our wreath-making workshop at GCV&M! Learn how to use evergreens, everlasting flowers, seedpods, and herbs to create a work of art just in time for the holiday season! Participants will learn how to create a soft-close form with an evergreen base, and will learn how to create festive garlands and kissing balls out of fresh evergreens! Participants will take home their wreaths, garlands, and kissing balls.

Space is limited!

FAQs

Is there ample parking?

Yes! Park in any of the main lots at the front of the Museum. Please leave the first two bays available for handicap parking. 

Where do I check in?

You will first check in through the Admissions tunnel at the front of the Museum. One of our Interpretation Staff will greet all participants on the back side of Admissions and guide the entire group back to the workshop site.  

How do I show my purchased tickets?

Please have your ticket(s) either printed out OR pulled up on your phone screen and ready for scanning for quick and easy check-in. Pro-tip: take a screenshot of each of your tickets to have ready and pulled up on your phone screen! Please note: Wifi can sometimes be spotty at the front of the Museum. 

Is this event rain or shine?

Yes – this event is rain or shine! Please dress accordingly for the predicted weather conditions. We will cancel only in the case of thunderstorms or severe weather.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

No! Everything will be provided to you to make this class successful. 

What else will be open?

The Historic Village, Nature Center Trails and Building, Depot Restaurant, and Flint Hill Gift Shop will all be closed to visitors on this date. 

Can I bring my dog?

Leashed service animals are welcome with proper identification. 

How should I dress?

While this class is mostly indoors, attendees will be standing for the majority of the class. Please wear closed-toed shoes! 

Please note: you will be walking from Admissions to the workshop site and back; please dress for the predicted weather conditions and wear appropriate shoes for walking in the weather and standing. 

What if I need a refund for my ticket?

Tickets may be refunded only up to 7 days prior to the event date and are strictly non-transferable by date, entry time, or program.
