Spring Foraging

Join us for a spring foraging adventure!

Saturday, June 24 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. 
Join Master Naturalist Chris Kieber and Herbalist Dave Kieber as they forage for seasonal offerings of wild edibles and discuss the folklore of medicinal plants found at GCV&M.  Participants will learn to recognize, harvest, and prepare a variety of available plants.  During the class, participants will examine an extensive variety of fire-making methods and have hands-on experiences in creating their own fire. 
Plan ahead and bring a lunch, it will be supplemented with food that you forage and cook over the fire! (Please note: the meal you will create is not vegetarian ir or vegan, and cannot accommodate specific dietary restrictions.)
Space is limited, ages 16 – adult.
