Bring your scouts to the museum for your next outing!

Advance registration is required and programs are filled on a first-come, first-reserved basis, so please make your reservations early.  Please contact the scout coordinator for more details, to check availability or to book a program at:

Your reservation will not be complete until the date is confirmed and the necessary deposit is received to hold your date. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your reservation. Build a S'more Campfire & Night Hike

The naturalist-led program includes an evening walk on the Nature Center's trails to experience nature at night. Then enjoy time sitting around the campfire. Build your own version of the classic campfire snack- S'mores! Mix and match ingredients are all provided, all you need is to bring your imagination. Maximum group size 25 (scouts and adults)
Fee: $15 scout / $7 adult (Minimum fee $175)
Available: Select weekends in January, February, April, May, June, September, October and November (2.5 hour program)

Scout Troop Overnight or Pack Overnight

This overnight program includes a choice of either a guided hike on our nature trails or through the Historic Village-after hours. Scouts can choose to sleep in the museum's Nature Center building or bring tents to overnight in the outdoor camping area. We encourage small groups to join together and share your overnight experience to make it more cost effective. Maximum group size of 40 (scouts and adults)
Fee: $40 scout / $20 adult (minimum fee $550)
Available: Select weekends in January, February, April May, June, September, October, and November

19th-Century Trades and Crafts Program

Learn about a young man's life in the 19th century through historic demonstrations by tradespeople and hands-on activities. The exploration may include: seeing the Blacksmith, a visit to the Tin smith to learn about his trade, a talk with the Cooper to discover how important his role was in 19th century life or various other trades in the Village.
Fee: $15 scout / $7 adults (minimum fee $175) includes a tin ornament for each scout
Available: select weekends in May, June, September, and October

Bring The Troop With Museum Group Rates

Visit the Genesee Country Village & Museum during our regular season (mid-May through mid-October) with your group of 20 or more Scouts (youth and adults) to receive a special group rate.  A reservation must be made before the date of your visit with the museum’s Program Registrar.  Please call (585)-294-8218 for more information or to make a reservation.

Fee: $7/scout, $11/adult (minimum of 20 participants)

Available: Mid-May through Mid-October

The fees listed for the aforementioned programs do not include admission to the historic village or art gallery. If you wish to spend time in the village before or after your paid scouting program we will be pleased to offer all participants in your group our Group Rate for Scouts.  The price is $11/adults and $7/youth.
