Programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited. Advance registration is required for all Scout programs. Please contact the scout coordinator for more details, to check availability or to book a program at: cdonovan@gcv.org

Your reservation will not be complete until the date is confirmed and the necessary deposit is received to hold your date. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your reservation. Nature Center Programs

Gournet S'mores Campfire & Night Hike

For Girls of All Ages
Start out with a naturalist-led evening hike on the Nature Center's trails to experience nature after dark. Then enjoy a campfire and take the classic Girl Scout snack up a notch with a gourmet twist. The campfire program includes mix and match ingredients to get creative with this delious snack! Maximum group size 25 (scouts and adults)
Fee: $15 scout / $7 adult (minimum fee $175)
Available: January, February, April, May, June, September and October

Hiker & Letterboxer Program - Two Badges, One Day

Fulfill Brownie badge requirements for Hiker and Letterboxer. A naturalist will help you plan your hiking adventure and lead you through a variety of different habitats. Along the way you will study different trail signs, play a hiker's survival game and learn about the ethics of leave-no-trace. In addition, discover letterboxing, a 19th century recreational sport. Learn letterboxing terminology, make your own letterboxing log book and stamp and go on a letterboxing journey.
Fee: $15 scout / $7 adult (minimum fee $175)
Available: select weekends in April, May, June, September and October

Camper Overnight

Complete the requirements of the Junior Camper badge during this overnight adventure. Try your hand at pitching a tent, become skilled at fire starting using flint and steel, and cook over an open fire. Bring stories and songs to share around the campfire. Complete the evening with a hike to search and listen for the sounds of nature at night. Campfire snack & Continental breakfast included.
Fee: $40 scout / $20 adult (minimum fee $550)
