Myths and Monsters
A Brand New GCV&M Experience!
Is your child interested in mythology? Do they enjoy the great outdoors? This camp aims to combine the natural world with a mythical one – hunt for monsters in the Genesee woods, learn many legends (both local and from afar) while eating s’mores, try your hand at weaving like Athena, and so much more! This camp is the perfect experience for your child to unleash their imagination while spending Saturdays outside at our Nature Center.
Fall Myths & Monsters
Saturday, Oct. 15, 22 & 29, 2022
from 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Fee: $120 (10% member discount)
Join us as we study myths and monsters from near and far! Our studies will lead us on hikes into the woods and the Historic Village, to find the connections between local plants, beasties, and historical technologies that feature in the legends we highlight throughout the course of this program. Don’t forget to save room for roasted marshmallow, as we gather around the campfire for a good story!
