Enjoy a handful of your favorite buildings and activities for an affordable winter rate!

Before you visit the Historic Village or Nature Center, explore the schedule below to discover the variety of demonstrations, expert talks, historic tastings, and more happening each day at GCV&M! 

GCV&M is open 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays in January and February. Enjoy these winter weekends by exploring a handful of historic buildings in the Village, embrace the winter by snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or sledding, enjoy food and drink in the Meeting Center Lounge, and shop the Flint Hill Store – all for an affordable winter rate! Purchase daily admission tickets online in advance, or in the Flint Hill Store when you arrive!

Please note: you can borrow snowshoes for free from our Nature Center, but if you’re looking to sled or cross-country ski, please bring your own equipment! 

Saturday, March 2

Open 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Winter is wonderful at Genesee Country Village & Museum! Today, you can explore the snow-covered Historic Village (on foot, or on cross-country skiis!), take a hike on the Nature Center Trails, enjoy a bite to eat and warm up beside a fire in the Meeting Center Lounge, and more.

11:30 a.m.: Guided Nature Hike
Join a GCV&M Naturalist for a guided nature walk through our Nature Trails! 

1 p.m.: Farm Animal Encounter at the Early Settlement Farm 
Stop by to see what the farmer’s are working on and meet a farmyard friend!

Today’s highlights:

  • Free snowshoe rentals at the Nature Center 
  • Explore a handful of open buildings around the Village Square including the Livingston-Backus House, Altay General Store, Foster-Tufts House, and MacKay House
  • Borrow a pair of binoculars and try your luck at birding bingo in the Nature Center or Nature Trails 
  • Warm up beside an outdoor campfire at the Nature Center and roast a marshmallow
