1876 Centennial Toy Dish

1876 centennial pressed glass toy butter dish with lid. The base has a scalloped rim with a liberty bell in the center below a banner with the dates 1776-1876. Below the bell its says Patd Sept 23d 1875. The lid has a tab type handle and says "100 Years Ago" on one side. The opposite side has the Liberty Bell and the words "Declaration of Independence". Between the two is 1776-1876. Made for the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, often produced on site by the Gillinder & Sons glass company.
