Slippers
Clothing/Dress/Costume
Pair of slippers of white kid leather, lined with white linen, bound with white silk ribbon, and with wider white silk ribbons (ends pinked) attached for ties. Each slipper has a white silk ribbon (possibly the same used for binding) tightly knife-pleated across the collar, surmounted by a bow of a wider white silk ribbon with scalloped, picoted edges. Rounded toe; flat, straight sole. Shoe A has a point embossed down the instep, the leather on either side of the point deliberately stained dark. Both soles are ring-stamped.
