Painting shows competent use of perspective and realistic detail. Brunette palette. Painting depicts a counter with architectural moldings laden with dead game birds, basket with rooster and chicken. Hanging above is a realistic rabbit, duck and other game bird. To one side and in front of counter are three dogs with collars. On viewer's left is a window with landscape, a cottage and sunset. Window provides light source that illuminates the game.
