Bridal Dress, Mitts and Gloves

Object/Artifact

Lady in white bridal dress with full gathered skirt, smooth silk above a deep lace flounce, ankle length. Smooth bodice has pointed waist and what appears to be an embroidered muslin pelerine leaving much of the neck and shoulder bare, while resting on the extremities of short but widely puffed sleeves. She wears long lacy mitts but wears shorter gloves with frilled cuff over them. Carries a red book, probably psalms. Hair smoothed over ears, surrounded with gold headband across the forehead with floral clusters at the sides. An arrow secures the center of a long narrow lace stole to the center hair loop. Modest corsage on right shoulder. No other marks or identification.
