Hand knit, very fragile shawl made from aloe fibers. Black-brown and ivory strips joined to produce double border of ivory on dark ground, forming checks at corner crossings. Mostly diamond pattern; shell pattern in outer border. About 70” long and possibly about square. Originally folded neatly into a very small shape wrapped in brown paper with the “knitting satchel
