Algernon Sidney Pratt and Family
One framed photographic print of the Pratt family. The background looks to be a studio background. There is a painted wall, and a long drape to the left that has a long cord and tassel hanging from it. There is some baseboard molding visible on the lower right side of the photo. The people in the front row are sitting on a bench of some sort and the back row is standing. There are adults and children in the photo. Algernon Sidney Pratt is the man in the front row center. There is some yellow hand coloring to the dresses of two women in the back row. Someone has taken a pen and colored in some of the hair and facial hair of the people. The frame is original to this photograph. It has a molded edge that is painted a drab gold, and curved inner lining that is faux grained and has a pattern cut into in (white colored), and the innermost lining is a plain gold band.

Plate has some discoloration, and some minor shattering on bottom end. Case is embossed leather, with minor wear. Inside case is crimson velvet. 1/6th plate cased ambrotype. Appears to James A. Hyde during the Civil War, when he was either 2nd or 1st Lieutenant in the 120th Regiment of New York State. He is seen seated in his uniform with sword across lap. Image is in perfect condition, but case hinge has broken. Lid is present. Leather embossed outer with inner crimson embossed velvet. Case is embossed leather, hinge intact, with age-appropriate wear to leather. Inside is embossed crimson velvet. Plate glass is cracked in several places, with shattering. Face remains intact.

Cased ambrotype of two adult men, seated, James A. Hyde on right. They are clasping hands on the thigh of one gentleman, while the hand of the other gentleman is on his partner's shoulder. Friends, perhaps distant relatives, but the likeness is not similar to be brothers. 1/6th plate in size. Inside case is deep plum embossed velvet, in scrollwork design. Outside of gutta percha case is a scene of a buck and doe in a forest clearing. Scrollwork around edges. Case in perfect condition. American Fall from Luna Island - Winter
One stereograph of Niagara Falls, the "American Fall from Luna Island - Winter" and shows an ice-and-snow encrusted tree in the foreground and a waterfall in the background. The images are mounted on orange cardboard and the card is printed "George E. Curtis Photographer." On the back is handwritten "M. F. H." twice. It is part of a group of three Niagara images, one of which is dated July 29, 1871.
Ampitheatre on S.S.A. Grounds at Chatauqua, New York
One stereograph of the Ampitheatre on S.S. A. Grounds at Chautauqua, New York. The photographs show the empty seating area of the covered ampitheater. The front is printed with the title, the series "Chautauqua Lake Scenery" and the photographer's information "L.E. Walker, Publisher, Warsaw, N.Y." The back has a pasted paper printed with the history of Chautauqua and describes their purpose. It also has the initials "M.F.H," and the date "July 28, '82."
