Cake Mold
Object/Artifact
One redware Turk's-Cap cake or pudding mold with black or dark brown manganese spots on the inside and outside of the mold. The mold has a fluted shape with a scalloped edge. It is unmarked, but George Hamell attributes it to Western New York in that it "very closely conforms to those made by Alvin Wilcox, West Bloomfield, NY. Very similar in proportions and identical in the number and modeling of the flutes."
