Canteen
Object/Artifact
One narrow wooden canteen made with horizontal wooden staves and two thick wooden bands. Each side is filled with a single panel of wood. The opening is a higher stave or piece of wood that makes it even with the bands on either side. The hole is small and round, with no plug or cork remaining. One side has a "k" carved into it and the other has two carvings. One is either "E x E" or "E x L" and the other is an "I" or an "L." All of these letters have a small line across the middle of the upright part of the letter. On either side of the opening is leather fragments and rusty nails, where the handle once was. It is unfinished.
