Stool
Stool. painted/grained with freehand gilt decoration including bellflowers on legs and rosettes on the curved and arched back and front stretchers. The side stretchers are simple dowels. Simply decorated corner blocks on seat. Curved legs.
Stool
One three board stool with a single stretcher made of Chestnut. Front and back edges of top are molded with decorative edging and a decorative hole is cut in the center of the top for convenience of carrying the stool from place to place. The top is dove-tailed to the two slab sides and a single thin stretcher is likewise dovetailed to the bottoms of each side for stability. The sides are attached to the top with at slight outward angle and are cut in a decorative manner to give them a fiddle shape in outline. This may be of Dutch or German origin, possibly Pennsylvania-German.

Straight razor with case. Steel blade with flat notched tip and curved end. Curved tortoise shell handle Black pasteboard case with impressed diamond design on one side, and manufacturer on the other. Interior is lavender.

Strainer with a dipper shape and flaring sides with footed base. Sieve is of perforated tin. Handle has hanging ring and opposite the handle is a strap hook.

Cottage cheese strainer. A three leg, strap handles, pierced strainer. Interior glazed with an amber lead glaze with tin brown dots and unglazed exterior. Crack has been repaired with wire in a "make-do" method.

Straw carpet. Light and dark herringbone pattern (natural and taupe). Used in the Staples Inn, Egypt, NY, built in 1820.

One hand painted, polychrome pearlware sugar bowl with lid. The bowl is round with a 1/2-inch base. It has a greenish-blue glaze with a thin brown band at the rim and green, blue, yellow, and brown floral designs that are hand painted. The lid is round and has similar hand painted decoration and a dark brown stripe around the rim. The knob on the lid is round at the base and tapers to a point at the top which is painted with a dark brown design. A canvas patch "make-do" covers a hole in the bottom.

One porcelain sugar bowl in a grape pattern with pink lustre details. The sugar bowl is very white but the lid has darkened to match the creamer. The body has a funny texture to the glaze. The paints were applied by hand, and include a blue-purple color, as well as light green, yellow, rusty-orange, pink, and pink lustre.

One hand-painted, pearlware sugar bowl with lid. The body is a pearlware white, with a painted band of light blue and overpainted with dark cobalt scallops and fern-like leaves. The bowl has a small footed base highlighted with the cobalt and the sides have applied lion heads with a ring in their mouths. The lid has the same decoration as the top and the knob is small and low.

One pearlware, transfer printed sugar bowl. The body is rectangular with a slight center bulge. The top flares out and the opening is surrounded by scallop edged, vertical pieces. There are two curled handles with blue accents. The blue and white pattern is of flowers in a basket. It is a very pixilated pattern. The lid also has a band of blue flowers around the edge and the finial is a flower with blue printing.

Sunglasses
One pair of 19th century sunglasses. Copy alloy (German Silver ?) frames with blue-tinted glass lenses. Lenses are rectangular shape; temples are of slide extension type with loops on the ends for laces or ribbons. It is of interest to note that the left lens has a ripple line in it left over from the glass making process and was never polished out.
