Woman's morning or evening dress of white cotton mull, unlined. Bodice is gathered on drawstrings at front of wide neckline, meeting to tie at center; back neckline is also gathered on drawstrings, which act as fastenings for back closure. No fastenings at waist remain. Bodice gathered to waistband at either side of front (softly) and across back piece (tightly). Full, short sleeves set into deep armscye, gathering at back of shoulder; sleeve is finished with a drawstring. Slight train to skirt. Hand sewn.
