2-pc day dress of sapphire blue vertical satin striped silk w/ brocaded brown bands separated by brick patterned bands, collar of tape & needle lace, applied fringed silk passementerie, entirely hand sewn originally c. 1854 w/ sleeves updated 1860s, bodice B 32”, W 24”, L 21”, skirt W 26”, L 42”, (minor shatter to CF placket, cuffs & Wband w/ few 0.25”-0.5” concealed holes, light underarm discoloration, 4” tear tulle collar, shatter to bodice lining, minor discoloration skirt, few missing closures, collar lining & Wband conserved) very good.
