Entirely hand stitched brown print cotton, small cartoonlike sprigs in light brown and white. a) Separate bodice with skirt attached in little pleats in front, at least as repaired; remains of cartridge pleating in back. Rather high waist, pointed, with piped center seam and shallow fan pleats radiating from center bottom edge. Wide shallow neckline. Self bias bound edges. Sleeves full at elbow, mancherons at top, edged with two rows of tucks; piped seam. Small cuff with hook and loop. Slightly dropped armscyes; all bodice seams piped. Skirt unlined; hem faced with faded brown plain weave cotton. Bodice lined with tan cotton; channels for bone in CF and narrow one under each bust and underarm; only CF bone remains. CB closure, h/e. b) Capelet lined like bodice; edged with self flat piped edging. Little shirring rows across base of CB
