Embossed black leather folder lined with light plaid paper; two interior pockets. Contains patterns for embroidery and braiding, dating from about 1840 to about 1910. Petticoat edgings, collar, cuff, etc. One undated letter with sweater knitting instructions; one large printed transfer (?) pattern tissue with a variety of motifs including a cuff and collar; one fragment of a small book with bits of hand drawn designs. 3 early pieces, hand drawn small motifs; one has directions difficult to read. 11 large ones on heavy brown paper, latest. 32 smaller ones. Seems to have belonged, at least at first, to Amelia Church.
