Light pelisse of white cotton muslin, woven with gauze stripes and embroidered with twisting vines (cotton, in tambour) on the gauze and sprigs and sunbursts (linen) on the plain-woven areas; lined in the bodice with white cotton. Rounded turn-down collar with muslin ruffle. Center front opening, with the only fastenings being three hooks and eyes at inset white cotton waistband. Bodice is gathered to waistband at center back, and skirt is gathered to waistband across back. Piped armscye holds overlong sleeve of unembroidered muslin with narrow, buttoning band of embroidered muslin at wrist, as well as a short oversleeve of embroidered muslin, which is pulled up in shallow swags around arm. Hand sewn.
