Entirely hand stitched petticoat. Black/gold changeable silk/wool lined with indigo resist/discharge print cotton. Tan cotton waistband “ended out” front panel unfathered and pleated crudely. Hem bound with black fabric. Top quilted in parallel lines, middle- diamonds, bottom- figure 8’s. Machine stitched denim ties, probably later addition. This may well have been reworked several times.
