Two piece riding habit of wool broadcloth. a) Fitted bodice buttoning up front into high round neckline with peter pan collar. Narrow peplum extending to short tails at back, trimmed with narrow black braid and buttons. Long straight sleeves finished with braid and buttons. Entire bodice and collar edged with black braid. b) Simple skirt tightly gathered into center waistband at center rear; cut very long to conceal feet while riding horseback. Small tab in front can be buttoned to waistband to raise skirt while walking.
