One replica late 'Windsor' style settee or bench. Adapted from a bench made by John Hubbard, a nineteenth century chairmaker who lived and worked in Boston, Massachusetts. It is of a style of settee made about 1848. The maker is Richard Knapp of Rush, NY. It has a plank seat made of pine; arms of cherry wood and the legs, stretchers and spindles of maple. It is painted a black-green as 'Windsor' chairs often were. The legs and strectchers are turned in the 'bamboo' style and are highlighted at the ring junctures with yellow paint. The bench has 13 spindles and six legs.
