Hayfork

Object/Artifact

A hayfork with four prongs made out of a natural tree formation.

70.219.1

The hayfork, also known as a pitchfork, was used to move hay or other loose materials. It can be used to scoop, lift, and toss the hay. The most interesting aspect of this particular hay fork is that it was once part of a tree where four branches grew in the perfect formation for a hay fork to be made.
